How the San Antonio figures on this site are made

The numbers on JBSA Neighborhoods are gate hours, a 2026 housing-allowance table, Monday morning drives to one Randolph gate, school-district names, and two Guadalupe appraisal means. Each one has a source, a check date, and a limit. This page is that record.

Mean market value, Guadalupe County

Texas is a non-disclosure state. Sale-price information an appraisal district receives from a private party is excepted from public disclosure under Texas Government Code §552.149. Where this site shows a price figure, it is a mean market value of Category A single-family accounts from the Guadalupe Central Appraisal District 2026 certified totals, As of Supplement 28, ARB Approved Totals dated September 29, 2026. Mean equals the total Category A market value divided by the Category A count.

Two towns use that file. Schertz: count 11,845, market value $3,325,974,400, mean $280,791. Cibolo: count 12,172, market value $4,070,453,537, mean $334,411. Both means are rounded to the nearest dollar. The unrounded quotients are those totals divided by those counts, and the rounding note is printed once beside each mean. Schertz is in Guadalupe and Bexar. Its mean is the Guadalupe portion only. The two counties are not added together. Cibolo's mean is the Guadalupe certified total. Cibolo may also touch Bexar, which is a reason to confirm the parcel, not a second total on this page.

The limit is in the label: not a median, not a sale price, and not a Bexar County figure. The same label is what the town pages and the comparison table use.

Drive times to Lindsey

Each drive is a Google Maps direction for a Monday, October 5, 2026, 7:00 a.m. America/Chicago departure, checked 2026-10-04. The origin is a named public address: Schertz city hall at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Cibolo City Hall at 200 S Main Street, Universal City hall at 2150 Universal City Blvd, and the Converse city-secretary application address at 406 S Seguin. The destination is Lindsey (Main) Gate. Google Maps labels that approach at 11420 Harmon Dr, Randolph AFB, TX 78150. The site prints Google's typical range in minutes, typical to worst, with miles and the route.

The range excludes the gate ID-check wait. It is one morning from one building, not a house-by-house study, and it is a Randolph destination. Lackland, Fort Sam Houston, and Camp Bullis are separate JBSA locations. Their gates are in the base guide. They are not the end point of these four ranges. Lindsey itself is published as 24/7, including on the holiday pattern described on the Gate Hours page, which is why the town pages use it as the commute gate.

School districts

Students attend schools where they reside. District names come from the official page cited on the town page. Schertz and Cibolo are named from the Texas Comptroller 2025 ISD Summary Worksheet 094-902, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. Universal City is named from the city's school-districts page, which lists that district and Judson ISD and says to contact the district offices for a given address. An address check is required where a city touches more than one county or district. TEA locator boundaries are approximations. Families confirm the school by address with the district. The pages name districts and stop at the name.

Basic Allowance for Housing

BAH figures are the Department of Defense 2026 rates for military housing area TX285, SAN ANTONIO, TX. The rate file is the official ASCII set, May 13, 2026 revision, files bahw26.dat and bahwo26.dat, with the area name from mhanames26.txt. The site prints seven grades, with and without dependents: E-4, E-5, E-6, E-7, O-1, O-3, and O-4. Town pages repeat the with-dependents rates for E-5 ($1,869), E-6 ($2,094), and O-3 ($2,127). No payment is computed from those rates.

ZIP-to-area mapping is sorted_zipmha26.txt. Lackland 78236, Randolph 78150, Fort Sam Houston 78234, and Camp Bullis 78257 all resolve to TX285, so the rates match at all four duty locations. Schertz 78154, Cibolo 78108, Universal City 78148, and Converse 78109 resolve there too. The allowance is set by the duty-station ZIP, not by the ZIP where the household lives.

A ZIP on this site comes from the official city hall, post office, or Army phonebook address cited for that place, plus the DoD ZIP-to-area file. It is not a full USPS inventory of every code a city uses. Lackland's post office is 2261 Hughes Ave., JBSA-Lackland, TX 78236. Randolph's is 220 B St. W., JBSA-Randolph, TX 78150. Camp Bullis addresses in the Army ASA phonebook are 20620 Camp Bullis Rd, Camp Bullis, TX 78257, and 4722 Wilkerson Rd, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78257.
